GIH management group
The GIH management group is led by Associate Professor Allan McRae, the GIH Interim Director and Academic Lead for UQ (systems genomics) who is supported by former Director Professor Grant Montgomery (molecular genetics), Associate Professor Scott Beatson (microbial genomics and bioinformatic software development), Associate Professor Jessica Mar (computational genomics methods, statistics and machine learning), and Dr Elizabeth Ross (metagenomics, transcriptomics and long read sequencing). The management team all share a commitment to enhance genomics in collaboration with the UQ research community and working with industry partners to develop new approaches.
Previous members of the GIH management group who continue to provide their genomic expertise in collaborative support include Dr Brooke Purdue (Operations Manager 2019-2022), Professor Lachlan Coin (genomic and transcriptomic bioinformatics), Dr Nathan Palpant (genomics and genome engineering) and Joanna Crawford (Operations Manager 2019).
